How many felt the Earthquake?

not me (much too far away in sonoma county, plus i was asleep at the time) -- but it's interesting to know that earthquakes are so much more common up near Eureka because they have a rare triple-junction of tectonic plates coming together, just off-shore from Cape Mendocino -- most earthquake faults only involve two tectonic plates bumping into each other, so when there's three, things are even more active!

Morning!

We did not feel it here.

But I was stupid and lost a hen last night :(.

I have a silkie who seems to have recovered badly from wry neck she was very thin and seemed to have trouble eating and while she could move did not like to walk. She could not tell where anything was. I was tube feeding her last night (have been for about 5 days since I noticed something wrong) And put her back in the coop and did not lock up !

This morning there were white feathers at the window. She was the only silkie taken and I was very lucky. Im sad she died painfully But I was going to have to figure out something soon and clearly couldn't breed her.

Its been an interesting morning...

Isn't: May you live in Interesting times" a Chinese Curse?

I hope the week goes better for you.

Nikki,
Up here when we set up for an Awareness day we try and get examples of all areas of 4-H. The common believe is that 4-H is all about the market animals so we bring in food preservation items, photos, clothing and quilting projects, a robotics display, leather craft items, weaving, as many different areas as we can. Of course I always bring birds, we usually have other small and baby animals there as well. Our dog group does a Rally and obed. Demonstration also.

Welcome to the best thread on BYC where you will be enabled and advised and supported in all your chicken dreams

I miss my Boxers  teribly we had them for years.  Nothing like a Boxer lap dog.  Now we have old dogs..Our Boxers never made it to old dog status.

Boxer are one of the BEST for sure! They don't live that long though... :/ my girl is 3 in June and we have her son who will be 1 in July! Love them! Such good dogs, companions, farmers, protectors, loyal, obedient, and on and on. :)
