It is a bit different using a fan incubator. It takes a different technique.

It the1602 a wafer incubator?

The symptoms are consistent with temps too low.
Yes, It is the wafer kind. The temps stayed pretty stable (according to my thermometer - it records the 24 hr highs and lows). I kept it right at 100. I'll get a different kind of thermometer to add to

the first one - maybe that will keep track of the temp better. I was reading online (today), that the air is supposed to come in through the holes at the bottom, and vent through the top. Is that right?
Does that mean that the fan should be "sucking" air out ? If so, my fan is turned the wrong way...

From the Incubator Warehouse website:

Invented by G.Q.F. Manufacturing Co. over 30 years ago, the Hova-Bator is still considered by many to be the WORLD’S BEST SMALL INCUBATOR, and among the most economical incubators available. The circulated air Hova-Bator uses a slower speed, gentle flow fan to hold a more uniform temperature. The gentle flow fan provides enough air movement to keep a constant temperature, but helps prevent dehydration of the eggs. It uses FORCED AIR FLOW, where the radiant heat tube gently warms the inside of the incubator while the fan draws fresh air from the bottom vents and circulates it throughout. Since heat rises, temperatures can vary up to 5 degrees inside the Still Air Hova-Bator. However, with the IncubatorWarehouse.com Gentle Flow Fan kit installed, the incubator holds a more constant temperature, minimizing hot and cold spots. This ultimately leads to improved hatch rates.

The pullets are a joy. The Boys are amazing so far too. they are big! and mine is good with the Girls. Their Dad is too and his Brother that @PetRock has is a very good flock manager.

I hope we can get some for you this year.
Yep, my boy is young but he is good with the girls, is very fertile, and has never shown any aggression towards me. He has a healthy respect for all humans both big and little which is a requirement for him to stay here. I love the pullets. They are so curious and don't run away when I need to catch them. Tonight is their second night in their new coop. A couple of them even went in tonight on their own. I removed the dogloo that they were sleeping in and they have been milling around that area wondering what is going on. They are smart girls so I don't think that it will take long for them to adjust. I have five little PP fuzz balls in my brooder as well as several mixes and LOTS of eggs! I'll get pics of the chicks tomorrow.
