I just looked and an 11 x 30 hanging one is $109 plus $25 shipping. It has a 3 yr warranty, is non-breakable, and has low energy usage.@The Sheriff
Had them I think.
They seem kind of pricey

So do I but now I have 2 3 ft x 8 ft outdoor pens that used to have quail in them! The 11 in x 30 in one would fit perfectly on one end of the pen.The energy useage would be the kicker . My issue is I have multiple brooders or I would get one for the big garage brooder.

The Premier one is 384 sq in and accommodates up to 50 chicks with 7.68 sq in per chick. The 11 x 30 Sweeter Heater is 330 sq in so it accommodates 43 chicks with the same amount of space as the Premier one. That is pretty large!
How many chicks do they say will fit under it.
That made the shark in me chuckle.
There is wild broodieness out there! 3 people this week have needed eggs for there girls. I just raided Mario's eating eggs and braved a pi$$ed Marans for a desperate guy with a demanding mf. I saw bite marks on me hand! And I haven't even told mario he's not getting 139°eggs for dinner!
Ohhh!
