Ain't that the truth, most of my special ones do end up being male (chickens, ducks and peafowl).they are very pretty!
I hope the chick is a She. Often the friendly ones like that wind up being a cockerel and that breaks you heart!

Ugh. Someone please give me a Tolbunt Polish hen. Such beautiful birds, it's a dream of mine to own one.
try Vetrx for mites. I am trying it. Put a squirt under the feathers between the wings up by the neck from time to time. I do it when I close the coopsI tried DE and didn't have any luck with it on worms, lice or mites.
As far as wormers go, fenbendazole is the safest of the bunch... You should see some of the warning on the others, those are scary, lol.

I know you are not downsizing Campines lolI have Tolbunt polish, probably on my list of birds to downsize the numbers. I have both smooth and frizzled. There are also around six (I'd have to go look in the incubator) eggs due to hatch next week.

Very busy day. Husband is home!He gets to work around town for the next week. Then he's gone during the week again. I'm so happy he is home. We had 7 weeks of no husband and Daddy.![]()
Hooray! He's tackling the honey-do list with determination. I'm getting a new grow out pen today!
That's like what was in my eggs too. Like a watery brown/brown yellow, and very sticky. Both of the chick that hatched appear to have absorbed the yolk, and have "clean" navels though. Thanks
yeah it's... weird that's for sure :/ Gross... I don't know what else it would be. Its got the sticky cisitency oa a very runny yolk and its an yellowish greenish brown as it would have been exposed to air for a while.
Wonderful news. All of the OEGB eggs have squirmy babies inside. They'll start hatching from the 11th on.![]()
