hey. guys is there a way i can make my seramas molt before august? The mails tail is screwed up and i want him to look his best

The only way to make them molt is to stress them--that would be cruel though. Forced molt is one of the bad thing that Egg producers do.

Let him molt when he is ready.

I hatch, keep those that are suitable for breeding and sell the cull pullets as layers.  If I need a male, then I keep the best one.  The rest become dinner.

You will have extra roosters. Have a plan.

I have a nice Indian family that will take the extra boys at a little over 2 months. As soon as I know boys/girls .
I don't charge him because I don't want to keep feeding them til butcher

This would be the first time they have gotten it and would definitley not become a regular thing. I usually don't even have prime rib very often and this is the first one I have had that had so much fat!
They will love it and it will be fine!

The BBS Orpingtons have hatched!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!! how many???

@nikki1496 I know it must be hard to picture you stunning little guy being all amazing and stuff at fair and looking at his tail being weird and seeing that ribbon fading away but Ron is right. Hope for the best feed him high protein snacks and pray that his tail is better by fair time. Best of luck to you.

Hope he will look good. also the other day when my incubator fell i saved two eggs. today is day 19 one egg died due to a crack in the shell lettib bacteria in (or from the jodtling around) does my ee egg have a chance in hell of hatching after that? it has a saddle shapped aircell and what looks like a second aircell? On the top any explantions on that?

If I'm remembering correctly, you have to raise up the humidity at lockdown or near the end of the hatch, would this affect the eggs that had been set 2 weeks after the ones that are hatching?
That's how I understanding it. Got to raise the humidity on some, not the others. Maybe the more experienced people have a system figured out, but I will not attempt this, lol. If I were you I would set all the eggs at the same time.
