I do that a lot too!

I still don't think I can spell it right, I've checked my spelling against Google every time lol. It's not an easy one to spell! But then again I'd say Appenzeller Spitzhauben is even more difficult!

Yep, it's a Japanese Black Tail.

They come in Black Tailed White and Black Tailed Buff, although the white is probably more common. I don't know if there are any other black tailed varieties floating around now.

Of course there are lots of other varieties besides the Black Tailed ones.

Most of the auto sexing breeds are European. The American ones can be sex linked but you have to use parents from two breeds and it is one time thing.

Cream Legbars
Rhodebars

are available to you from Papa. Biefelders are just starting in our area.

The Crele Penedesenca and a couple of others are about 80% but that can still leave a bunch of errors if you are selling chicks as pullets.
with the crele I can usually tell now. the males will either have a huge expanded head spot and look grey but sometimes just the shoulders are grey. so either of those two seem to be 100% boy girls are always just nut brown.

The good news is they are easy to tell at a week or 2 regardless

we have 4 partridge penedesenca . ( 2 boys and 2 girls I am pretty sure )
brown red ameraucana
2 splits ( look splash but Jerry said they where Brown Red breed to something for splits )
also a few crele just hatched and another brown red ameraucana
Brown Reds are the dark chicks and the rarest of the true Ameraucana

I just set another batch of 40ish eggs (someone please make me stop, I'm supposed to be cutting back on birds).

Anyway, it's my first test hatch on my Tomaru Longcrowers and my Bantam Black Plymouth Rocks. So I'm kind of excited about them both.

Of course, I had to fill out the tray with more LF Cochin, Tolbunts and LF Orpingtons. I drew the line when DH wanted to include some more Icelandics.

Sorry, they're Black Tailed White. I didn't realize they came in Buff, too. :)
