Is the store open tomorrow?

I came this close to coming home from the feed store with a couple of juvenile muscovies...
Half of the quarantine pen is currently in the coop as the "getting to know you" pen. I'd have to disassemble, make sure integration was working (currently doing temporary online test scoring, so stuck inside until 9pm until the end of next week), reassemble, talk husband fully into muscovies, research muscovies a bit more (including where I'd put 'em--I'd like a pair so I can have ducklings, so I'm guessing I'd need to keep the drake away from the chickens, especially if he only has 1 female duck available?), and so on and so forth--not necessarily in that order.
They were pretty though--1 white, 1 pied, and 2 different shades of brown.
It's... also possible I'm wrong about them being muscovies--I don't remember if they were labeled or not, and they didn't have much car... carb.... face masking (though that could be age-related, and why I assumed they're juveniles).
My new hen (Curly Sue) is finally coming out of her shell. Up until today she spent all her time hiding. But today she was actually out and about in the run! Yay! We're making progress.

But she still wants nothing to do with the coop. Every single night she sleeps between the hardware cloth of the run & the plastic pen that I am using for growing out baby chicks. She sleeps there on the ground every night. She has no interest in roosting.

On another note, I'm still holding out hope that this one is a girl. Mostly because she acts very much like a girl(has never walked upright) and her brother that was the same age had HUGE combs and wattles two weeks ago, while hers are just starting to come in. I dunno...I'm thinking she's a girl but we'll see. I'm hoping.

An FBCM cockerel should have more red in the neck. How old is the chick?![]()
I am the crusher of dreams! Still think that's a boy.
