Well therein lies the problem! I will get citric acid and activate it for all cleansing.

I resisted activating for a loong time, until Kim researched the crap out of it,then I gave in.. seems to be working beter.
 
Someone on here mention putting food coloring on the vents of the hens so the eggs are marked as they are laid. You could do that with the other 2 hens so theirs get marked.

I tried it with red, blue & yellow. It didn't work well at all. The only one that I could barely tell was the blue and it was only very faint streaks. Other people have said that it worked for them, but it did not for me.
I use separate breeding pens, instead, to tell which hens laid which eggs.
