I have hatching eggs. Nice thing about the GCMs is that they can be color sexed at hatch.

I love the pullets bright red faces! What is the egg color like on these?

Edited to add: Does anyone know anything about Feathered Friends Poultry in Forest Ranch? I've tried contacting them through Craigslist ads they post several times in the past and they've never even bothered to respond to my questions about their birds.

Pretty good for GCMs since they are still a project color.

Oh.......I have eggs.....lots of eggs! I just had a ton of quail hatch this morning. I moved the last 5 BLRW eggs I got from Papa Brooder under a broody. One had internally pipped but not sure on the other 4. (These were the ones that got bumped around when the cradle broke on the Brinsea). These are from the one hen that eggs have not lightened during her laying cycle. I am hatching from her eggs, keeping some of the pullets as a base for my future flock.

Us snobs are still impressed with those eggs

The pictures are of the darkest eggs. The other 3 hens eggs started out nice and dark, but have lightened up considerably. They have been laying constantly since last September though. They are just starting to darken up again.
