Rio Linda feed store has ducks, a variety of chickens and turkeys. They have great prices and a very friendly, helpful staff for first time chicken owners... I'm in Sacramento, ca. I think of us as Northern California. We also have a city across the river called West Sac.

Welcome!
While mowing the lawn at his house in Rio Linda he found a turkeys nest. Since he had taken away her cover he brought the eggs home with him to Oak Run and hatched out 13 turkeys. He still sees a few of them every once in awhile.

Up here we have gotten the last of the hatchery shipments, we are getting to warm for them.

Chiquita, thanks for telling the quail to wait until I was home to start hatching! I noticed pips and zipping but the first one held off until I got to pee. 6 out so far, I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow.
Do tuxedo start out looking like tuxedos?
