So the egg autopsy was definitely interesting. In both the eggs, the yolks were completely scrambled. Even in the egg that I was very, very gentle with from the moment it was laid. The other was a Trader Joe's egg. There was no embryo to be found in either. What could cause the scrambled eggs?
This is how both eggs looked when gently cracked into a small bowl

And this was the Tolbunt Polish egg, there was weird sticky stuff that didn't want to come out of the egg, and inside there was a clear glob of something.

I think the bacteria can cause the yolk to look scrambled. Thanks for sharing your pics, I've seen blood rings on the outside, but never opened one.

I think it's more of a state of mind rather than geography ! Santa Cruz is definitely NoCal.

Santa Cruz is so nice!

My Great Uncle and a Second Cousin used to live there. They live in Grass Valley now.

All of my chickens no matter how skittish they are generally for some reason, when I extend my hand to them with my wedding ring on it, will always eventually come up and peck at the gold ring,

All of them do this. Its funny. Even the most stand offish will come peck the ring if I leave my hand extended to them long enough. Its just a mostly plain gold band. It has some texturing and 2 lines that encircle the ring. but otherwise just a gold ring.

Ive begun to think Ill start calling it the "The One 'chicken' Ring"

Feed the eggs back to the chickens.

How are they doing today?

I think this is a good idea.
I noticed one still has wet sneezes, but she's sneezing less. Haven't heard the others sneeze. Splash is still doing okay, so I have no doubts that she'll make it until tomorrow for her blood draw, then I can start treating her. She doesn't seem to be deteriorating at all, her condition seems to be stable.
Very good news!

Peachick Scale Training

It is funny how all birds do go after shiny objects .....

That is really neat that you keep track of your eggs and chicks development in such a scientific manor

What color Pea fowl will the chicks be? I would love some, but my husband thinks they are too loud.
