Well Neal took my Delaware Cockerel. Now If I could just deal with the crow monsters in the garage. The Pita Pintas outside will probably be happy he is gone. He really seemed to take to Neal though. Really is a good bird when you get down to spending some time with him.
Always tough to part with a bird... Hang in there...

Hi Ya'll. I have not been on BYC for awhile so I thought I would stop in and say Hi! Hope everyone is having a great summer.

So does that mean Jeff's chicks would be " * Black Male carrying Chocolate X Chocolate Female = 25% Chocolate Males, 25% Black Males carrying Chocolate, 25% Chocolate Females, 25% Black Females"?
I believe he would be this one:

Black Male carrying Chocolate X Black Female = 25% Black Males carrying Chocolate, 25% Black Males, 25% Chocolate Females, 25% Black Females.

So you would get 75% black birds (only 25% carrying the chocolate gene) and 25% chocolate females, if I'm understanding it correctly. I've never worked with the Chocolate gene.

BCollie, my Wyandotte's didn't start laying till 6 months but Dude's comb and wattles were much redder. I also don't see the wing bars that my juvenile males developed. I got rid of the young ones earlier at about 2 months but I could see the bar coming in on them. I think you have a pullet.
