Deann @juststruttin , this story is for you because you own the parents of this little lady :)

Once upon a time there was a young girl chicken that didn't care if everyone else was clamoring for their morning treat.

While they were looking for something on the ground, she was busy looking for a way out.

Then she would run around so fast that the wind would blow her breast feathers to the side. (Not really, I just have no other explanation for this).

And if she caught sight of you watching her, she would go stand against the fence and pretend she wasn't going to do anything spectacular. She's humble that way.

Then she would take a flying leap and land on top of the fence. After that, the whole world - or at least the lawn and flower beds - is hers for the taking.

All the rest of the chickens stand around and say ooooh!

aaah...

and DID YOU SEE THAT??? CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! AND SHE DID IT YESTERDAY TOO! Yup, that's what they say. This one here is really in your face about it. In fact, she's a little spiteful. She whispered to me "When is someone going to tell that girl she has a big behind and lead butts aren't supposed to fly?" Personally I just think she's jealous.

Every now and then one of her brothers will get the wild idea that he can fly too. So he'll run, jump and WHACK! Hit the fence about half-way from the top.
Everyone laughs.

At night the fence queen puts herself back and goes to bed with her family.
Hilarious!

How can I tell if my ducks are getting Angel wing?? I'm worried because their flight feathers are coming in and it looks to be pointing up. They're 4 weeks and 4 days old so can I wrap them if they are getting it? If they have it its because I was late on getting their lower protein food and now I have to mix it so their still getting to much protein in the food but its finally done to where I can feed them straight scratch

Those of you who use oxine to disinfect you incubators, brooder, etc.......where do you buy it?
Revival. They ship for amazon so its cheaper direct mostly.
Thanks, Ron! @chiqita ...... Updated picture of my SHowgirls from you. She is so much fun. Her feathers are so symetrical. Her topknot is coming in very well now..
Wow! Post a picture of her on the facebook sizzle breeders page so people hound me for eggs haha. Shes looking fine! You could name her sexy beast!

If the flight feathers (think thats what they are called ) are turning wrap them in case. They will be annoyed for a while but worth it. Im finally home. Been onsite for 6 days sstraight and im fried. Who knew you could have so many furniture emergencies! Sorry collie you lost your girl. Yay for chicks and pictures of sprigs! Hugs to new people and posts I missed I had a whole bunch and they dissapeared! !

They're all wet right now so I can't really show you pictures, but when they dry I'll show you. It just looks they're pointed up not out. I can't tell if its bad because one both of her wings do that, the other only has one. Plus if they are getting it I'd need help wrapping them, I don't know how

I love our feedstore. I just called, out of curiosity, and the lady there is going to go through the egg records and see who has roosters, and connect us. She knows that there's at least one person that has lots of colorful eggs, but doesn't remember off the top of her head of they have roosters or not.

So yes, Frieda's sticking, so far--though she was up and about when I got home from work, so I thought she broke. 10 minutes later, she was back on the golf ball and hasn't budged since, so at least I know she's eating and drinking!

So any comments on if this is healthy or early stage of Angel wing?

I was not going to bid and once I did I was really hoping someone would outbid me. I do NOT need any more eggs to hatch, but those pictures ere soooo pretty! I have way too many already. Good thing I have 2 broodies. I was going to split the eggs from Jeff between the 2 of them, but one just went broody abou a week ago. I will give here the new eggs to hatch. I do have 2 of the meat bird mixes that I plan to process tomorrow morning so that will make a little more room....
