FWIW, I always send mine to the Turlock or Tulare lab, they seem like *maybe* they aren't as busy as the the Davis lab. When I call for free necropsies, I ask to speak with a pathologist and then send the body attn. to that Doctor.

Right now I am very, very angry. It seems that the fire in the Sierra was a result of deliberate arson.

I can't even imagine why someone would do such a cruel and vicious thing.

If you want to do a tree planting in spring, I'll try to be there, too.

Some people...#*^&%*$... when I think of all the people and animals that lost their homes or worse...

Count me in for tree planting.

Hey guys!

It's been too long! We've moved, but haven't gotten the flock at our new place yet as we have to build a new coop. It's been a crazy last couple months! We sold Brawny ( our orpington roo) and just have our EE rooster.

Wow, that's some smoke! I just can't get over the idea that some @#$%! set that fire on purpose. I hope the firefighters catch a break and get it contained soon.

Where are you in Nevada County? My BFF is up in North San Juan. I just love it up there.

I was contacted about a year ago by someone who had LF Dom's. Their roo had just been killed by predators. I wish I could remember who they were - but no such luck!

We've had 5big fires around us this summer.Smoke smoke and more smoke...we even had a fire camp a few times as well a refueling station on our property...trucks and equipment lined up all hours to get vehicles ready to go back out all hours day and night...

I can't help but think this is arsen....too many all within this area...anyone know anything about this? Is there at least an investigation?
