Chickens drink this according to a vet book I read:
Non laying adults - 5.5% of their body weight per day
Laying hens - 13.6% of their body weight per day
Growing chicks - 18-20% of their body weight per day
Given the above it would be impossible to de-worm all without under medicating some and over medicating others. The only way I could see it working would be to put all chicks in one pen, laying hens in another and non-layers in a third. The figure out the total weight of each group, figure out how much they'll drink in a day and do this math:
Weight of flock in pounds, divide by 2.2, times 50, divide by 100. The answer to that will be the amount of Safeguard needed for the amount of water they will drink in one day.
