I think I have a problem... I just stuck these in my bator bottom carton are my Cream Legbar and LF blue Cochin covered by my 2 Bantam Cochin roos -& because I can't run it 1/2 empty, a carton of Trader Joe eggs (Julien date of Oct 14)...

I'd like to see the CL bantam mixes!
please post as they grow, so we can see size differences, etc
if not here, maybe in the CL hybrid thread?

Anyone else waiting for first eggs?

I'm waiting on cuckoo & buff orpingtons as well as UofA blues & some showgirls. Hurry up!
I have some younger marans & a cream legbar & a CL cross that are at least a month away so i won't expect anything until spring ( but maybe not patiently). ;-)

BBS English Orpingtons. They are just starting to let me put my hand in the brooder without wigging out. Though they've gone straight from RUNAWAY, RUNAWAY to JUMP ON THE HAND AND PECK FOR FOOD!
Super cute! It's cool to see what mine will look like! Coming next month...

I sure will!

Can anyone confirm or deny that the cream-legbars hens have enough barring to create sex-link with an un-barred roo?

My pictures don't compare to Nikon's but I thought I'd share.

Barnevelder pullet stretching.

I
Cross breed pullet. Multiple generation olive egger crossed to a barnevelder. She's pretty to look at and should be a good layer.

We call that "Warrior Three" I am totally taken by this pullet... What a beauty! Can you make more?

So, I think I go to the coop about 5 times a day looking for my OE's and Marans to start laying. The suspense is just too much!!

I am waiting on 15 pullets but think the only ones that might lay before the new year are the 2 Konza girls. My home grown red star lays a beautiful dark egg with a plum bloom. I will try to take a good pic for you all.

I lack @BCollie 's mad camera skills, but the photo box I made let me get a few decent pics.
Precious!
