That's OK I won't want to hatch a bunch...just one pretty pullet will make me happy.

I have some good news!!
Some of you may remember how some of my hens had varying degrees of feather loss on their backs. The speckled sussex, who have since passed away, had extreme feather loss. The feathers weren't falling out or picked out, they were broken. Nobody had any idea what was causing it. My only hen with feather loss now is Charlotte, who is on the very left in this picture. The Splash Andalusian next to her never had feather loss and neither did the Blue Andalusion in this picture. I have noticed a few broken feathers on some of my younger POL pullets but nothing anywhere near as bad as Charlotte (left) in this picture.

After probably 6+ months of her looking like this, I looked down today and noticed something...she's growing feathers in on her back! Yay! I hope she looks somewhat normal soon. Still stumped as to why it affected the SS very severely, the LB a little bit, and not at all on the Andalusians.
