Foot over head keet: I never thought of that as malposioned. I see that a fair bit. -Kathy
hrm... i wonder if peppermint essential oil would be a deterrant? For those listening to the red cell/poultry cell debate dr peter brown fell onto the poultry side in a long talk about amino acids gut villa and balanced diet. But the take away was : both are good but it is better to get your nutrition from food. I mento to ask about vegamite as a food vitamin but i have not yet.

@chiqita , the keet managed to get out on it's own, but i have had many that couldn't.

Re: Poultry cell vs Red Cell, I do think it's probably better to get vitamins and minerals from fresh, quality feeds., but how can we be sure? What worries me about the Poultry Cell is that it says something like "for mature roosters" and I don't know why, but I have given it to sick hens and chicks and have not seen any side effects.

It is very true that nutrition should come from food. Most of the chickens diet should be chicken feed. It has been formulated to provide what they need.

Added greens like kale is important and a bit of animal protein helps but in small amounts. It is important to not over balance thngs.

I won't force feed or water it. I'm just trying to give it the opportunity to get water and food.

That's very close. The eye liner pattern matches.
There is an article about Warblers being in our area in the Woodland news paper today. They have a crazy eye liner!
