Going to vent for a moment:

My custom coop is MIA. *grrr* Today was the rescheduled delivery date (it was supposed to be done two weeks ago) and I've not heard a peep out of the guy. He hasn't responded to my two emails from last week and hasn't returned my phone call from yesterday or today. I am beyond ticked off at them at the moment, and now I have to start the coop hunt from scratch and under the gun since the chicks are rapidly outgrowing their brooder. Ugh. *grrr* ARGH! And of course I can't find anything else that I actually like and that works in my space (which was the whole POINT of buying something custom). And even the less than ideal options are going to cost hundreds of dollars more and still require modifications when they show up. Did I say ARGH?

Here's a few links to folk who build custom coops in the Bay Area:
Food Forest Farm West
Chill Chickens
Bacari of Biodiesel Hauling

Hopefully it wasn't one of these folk that left you hanging. All three can and have built custom coops and have been highly recommended to me.

Hi I'm looking for anyone located near Baypoint California who would consider adding to their flock. I am relocating out-of-state and moving into a rental so it's just not possible to take them with me.
There are six females and I would prefer they all go to the same home, but I can separate them if it means they don't end up someone's dinner. They are all under three years old all healthy all friendly. There are two welsh harlequins one Cayuga one buff one blue Swedish and one chocolate runner. I need to find their new home as soon as possible or if anyone has any information on any local rescues I would appreciate any info. Thank you

I am so sorry!

I hope you get a nice coop for them.

Nope. Not one of them. Thanks!

Guy finally got back to me. Says he sent me an invoice and since I didn't pay it, he didn't build it. I've doubke checked PayPal. No invoice. I wish he'd checked in with me o given me a heads-up. So I may still get the coop I designed & want, but I don't feel good about it. But I also don't feel like buying something less suitable and more expensive just to prove a point.

its not pauls something is it?
/hugs

Suddenly he's returning my emails. Says he sent me an invoice (which PayPal doesn't show) and when I didn't pay it, he didn't build it. So I'm still annoyed beyond all belief, but at this point at least I'll get the coop I want (albeit 6+ weeks beyond the original Oct delivery date).

This being dependent on other people is a major downside to having a physical impairment which pretty much prevents my using power tools these days. *grrrr*

Thanks for the mental support!
