Ooo! I would like that incubator...This might be the same person with the Brinsea heat plate but now they are also selling an almost new Brinsea Octagon 20 with turner for $200. They are offering the incubator and the heat plate together for $300.

I just got this in today. That is too expensive. Premier1 makes a better and bigger heater plate that is rated to below 32F. If you order $100.00 worth from them, the shipping is free too. The cover is great! It really does keep the poop off.

The box for my large Premier 1 heating plate says that you can order an optional regulator to control temperature. I looked on their website and did not see it. Does anyone know if it is available for purchase?I just got this in today.
I was pleasantly surprised and how well it is built.
Very sturdy and much better built than brinsea.
The plate thread was just questioning how cold of weather you can put this out in.
Glad to hear 32degrees.
Brinsea is 50 degrees minimum and I can attest for it not keeping up well in the cold.
The premiere is WAY easier to adjust height. Just push some tabs in and the legs slide in place.
Brinsea you have to carefully pry the plastic back(which can and does crack if not done correctly)![]()
I have it out in the brooder coop testing it with no chicks yet.
I want to compare how it felt vs. the brinsea last night.
I also bought a dimmer switch others recommended. Not sure I'll need it on a cold night
I almost bought some super Buff goslings the other day, but decided to hold out looking for Pilgrims. I'm also STILL trying to get an aviary set up for pigeons. We were converting an old run when a lady from church got in trouble with neighbors and dumped a colony of rabbits on us while she works on her set-up. Hopefully that won't be very long at all.I had African's too and loved them! They are so elegant looking in their gray tuxedos. Of course...we had an acre+ back then and had just about everything except cows and pigs at one time or another.
You will really like the group.. Lots of really nice people. Glee on that group is who I got the goose eggs from.
Don't say it if you don't mean it.....I might show up on your doorstep!![]()
Sarah is a sweetie!. She is the admin of the group and does a great job. She does require that people include a location and a price on anything they are selling, but I am very much in favor of that. People forget how big the 530 area code is and they will post "Free pullets...must pick up today" and no clue bout where they are. Then they may not get back on FB for several hours and it drives people crazy!. I suspect you be approved soon. I bet there are several people here that are in that group, but since most people don't use the same name here as they do FB, sometimes I can't tell. I do know Shantih is on there....that is not a common name...
this is what others recommended and I bought.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0000BYEF6The box for my large Premier 1 heating plate says that you can order an optional regulator to control temperature. I looked on their website and did not see it. Does anyone know if it is available for purchase?
I learned something interesting about the Premier 1 company. I grew up in a small farming community in Iowa. After I received my 2 smaller plates, I looked at the shipping box and Premier 1 is located in the small town I grew up in! Good things come from Washington, IA, I guess!
