About 2 and half hours from Oregon border You know Northern CA.

I seem to get a few birds that poop like this but mostly after they have had too many vegetable treats. Its usually gone in a day or so if I cut back on the scraps.

I get slimey yellow brown poo if they have been scared or over stressed too.

The owner had the problem for a couple weeks and another chicken was starting the same poop pattern so it sounds like more than a veggie treat problem and no better way to solve the mystery than to have a test done to eliminate anything serious.

Thanks id consider the poops normal and most likely cecal poo based on what is shown

Welcome! I'm about an hour over the border on 5, then 20 minutes west on 199.

Well my heart is finally slowing down.
I got my persistent broody chicks and she has done wonderfully with them. She shares a pen with her sister.
I went out to drown a rat that was in the live trap and was going out through the room that the Phoenix are in. This is what I found, 1 bird.

After messing with them.

Looks like a blue and a black OEGB.

The second hen in the pen showed no signs of broodiness. I was very surprised to see her sitting on top of everyone in there. I guess what they say about Phoenix being great mom's is true.

Ya, im going to get like 10 more, im just trying quail(1st time). I'm also gonna get some old english game bantams probably

My light sleeper husband prefers the quails crow over the roosters. OEGB's are great little birds, they just don't believe they are chickens. Much easier to handle them flying at you rather than an 8 pound wyandotte!
