Who is interested in my super special Shamo Hybrid chickens? :p I'm thinking about selling 1 or 2....... these are Oriental Gamefowl, mainly the Thai fighter bloodline variety. They have been selectively bred for gameness and good temperament. Thinking of letting go of a pullet and possibly a cockerel but only for those who aren't going to fight them or breed them for fighting purposes as I don't want them to use my line to theirs. They are a little over 3 months now and are healthy and is great around humans (walk right up to you). Black in color with what should be red/orange plummage with green shimmer for the males and females will be black. I would not sell to you folks who fights them (you folks know who you are) but would rather prefer them to find a home with you egg laying chicken keepers out there who always thought about owning one but never got the chance for whatever reason.

Pleas post some pictures. I would love to see them

I think I have a picture of their dad..... he's a fine lookin' specimen, if I do say so myself. :) I don't know about sharing it though, unless people are actually interested then I might go look for it and post it up (if I can figure out how). One of the cockerel is starting to show very prominent red like his dad while the other is starting to grow into it, it's funny to see varying shades of colors within siblings seeing how when they were all little chicks, they all looked the same. They have shown great temperament soo far though, whenever I go inside the pen they would all run around me brushing up beside me, being nosy and getting into the food barrel when I open it.... they really have no fear of my presence at all and act like little puppies.

You can post a picture here and start a thread in the buy sell trade forum and post the picture there.

hello all !
I recently rescued 4 Drakes that were dumped here in contra costa county .
if anyone is interested or able to provide a home for one or a few of them , they all seem to have a bit of angel wing going on , they all seem to be about a year old give or take.
1 black Swedish
1 Blue Swedish
1 Silver appleyard
and the last one looks like a silver appleyard but is quite a bit smaller , he may be a cross of some sort.

I hope you find a home for them!

Hey, Sacramento area people!

Come spring, I would like to order sexed silkie day old pullets from MPC, but the smallest order that can be delivered is 9. I only want 3. I don't suppose anyone would be interested in splitting an order? I'd cover the shipping (the expensive part) so all you'd have to pay for is the chicks. Heck, I'll even deliver them to you or meet you part way.

This is all hypothetical at this point, but if like to see if it's be something people would be open to. Can't have roos, or I'd buy from a local breeder. And I'd like day olds. Most area breeders only sell at 3 weeks.

Or is this something that should go in the Swaps forum? I'm new at this, and I don't want to break the rules.
How much do silkies run on Mpc?
