California - Northern

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot, but I heard we could crosspost a shout out in "State Forums."
I think that's where I'm at, and can delete this if needed.

We live in San Francisco and are sadly looking for a new good home for our 6 ladies. I just made the post and put it in BST:

Cheers!
Too bad I raise quail and not chickens. I'm about an hour's drive north of you.

Any luck finding a new home for them? They're beautiful hens - I wish I could help you out, but we're just about at max capacity with our 17.

Does anybody here know where I can find Pekin ducklings this time of year within the SF Bay Area? I've been checking Craigslist everyday and I have found none near this region.

We're still getting Newcastles reports in SoCalif so hope you guys in NoCalif are report-free to carry-on with your shows! I'm not attending anything poultry (even my local feed store) and not bringing any new birds onto the property until this Newcastles thing is OVER! We made one trip to the feed store months ago and stocked up on our favorite feed for the hens so we don't have to go back to the feed store for a long while. Some people have tracked Newcastles to a feed store in San Bernardino and a couple of backyard flocks had to be euthanized. Be careful and cautious everyone!
