Welcome to the Northern CA Thread!

I am hatching some Jubilee Orpingtons for Papa Brooder. Miss Molly has them up the from you. I bet you will have as many as you want soon.

Ron

Oh, no, I am strictly unenabled, forbidden at this time to add a single critter (prior to having housing, still solving housing for current very small flocks, plus babies). However, that doesn't mean I can't enable someone else! Based on listed towns, Ron and Molly are near exact, equal distance from here. Before I become too much in the middle, let me see if I can get my friend on site. She's relocating to Oregon, but has been mentioning jubilees (every time I see her). Thanks to the link to the orps in PA. My, they are big and fluffy!

Hi all,
I want to say hi, I'm Heather and I'm in the Marysville/Grass Valley area. Basically, I'm in awe of the conversation you're having and all the activity that is happening. I have no birds to show, but would love to go to a show sometime. Oh, oh, and I have a friend looking for jubilee orpingtons. I think she prefers chicks, but would hatch. Anyone close to me have these? Cheers!
Welcome!

The weather here is STUNning. I cleaned duck and chicken coops. Fresh nest boxes, bedding on floor, clean poop board under the roost bar in chicken coop. Fresh. ahhh

I bet we could get some of those here if we clicked the thumbs up button more....

Note to self, click the thumbs up button more.

Hatching update for the P Pennes:

Incubator temp is holding steady at 99.4 on the Water Wiggle Thermometer probe. The turner is off but I have been hand turning them twice a day. I will turn it on tonight(This is for shipped eggs. The time with the turner is off depends on the air cell damage from shipping).

All looks good on the incubating front. The first candling will be on Saturday.

Welcome Redchicken, congrats on all the egg swapping and fall cleaning going on with everyone!

I've been working like crazy to get my store ready for Christmas and train two new girls to manage the store and wine bar during the towns Christmas preview.....while I'm in Hawaii!!!!

I had to fire one employee and its harder then you think to get good help, then my other employee had an old injury flare up and she's out for the season, just as I'm finally getting my first vacation in 2 years!

So let the cards fall where they will and I pray customers are patient and understanding....

On a good note, here's the two remaining Blue Marans. They actually came into the Polish pen where I was sitting and pooped and pecked all around me. Maybe they'll be friendly after all.
