I finally got to shoot some adoptive kitties. Anyone need one? hehe

I want the calico!!!! Don't know if I should though...already have 3 cats. I adopted 2 as kittens from Another Chance (acrawl.org) and love them!!!! The calico could be a sister to my calico

AmyBeth, I want to thank you so much for doing that!

I'm a coordinator for National English Shepherd Rescue, so I know how crucial it is to have good photographs of animals up for adoption. It really does make a difference between life or death for shelter animals, in many cases. With no kill rescues such as ours, a cute photo makes a HUGE difference in how many adoption inquiries the dogs get.

I wish more photographers would consider spending some time helping their local rescue in this way. I don't think they realize how much help they can be to animals in need of adoption.

Kudos!

I can't afford another cat (we have 3 as well) but I love that all black with the big round eyes. They have another one named Figaro who is big and beautiful and been there forever. I tried to photograph him but he kept giving me the paw. (ignoring me and walking away) He was so incredibly soft. Wish I had room for another. I hope to get his pic next time because he is really gorgeous.

I was so excited to help out. I will eventually help out at Haven Humane but I am starting small with this small Org now. Then in the new year go through the volunteer orientation, they do a wee bit of training with you and hope to be working with the dogs from HH then. I have a huge soft spot for bully breeds especially and other misunderstood breeds (rotties, dobes etc). I hope to round up the rest of the 'senior cats' on my next trip to ACAWL. I am not used to working with them- they are not easy at all. I was there for 2 hours and managed to less than 2 dozen images and only 7 cats I think? Requires a lot of patience. Good thing they are adorrrrable!
