which feed store did you get it at? Most of them only stock pullets. It is definitely crested and has lots of juvenile feathers...I couldn't see the feet but they look clean (no feathers?).
Chickie looks like it is about 6 weeks old and appears to have a "toppy" or a "crest"of some kind. The couple of curved tail feathers is suggestive of a roo but it is still a toss-up. Breed, haven't a clue!![]()

I was wondering because I usually check the feed stores in Tehachapi to see what they have in stock. There is a hatchery in your area, Signature Poultry, have you heard of them? My sister-in-law was interested in their stock.I picked her up at the feed store in inyokern while I was passing thru. They had a big sign ( baby chicks). Just thought I'd see what they had...they almost sold me a turkey. But I chose her since she was the oldest they had. And yes no feathes on the feet...but her feet are almost black. My daughter thinks she's a raven.
