Ryan- I buy my feed at Stephens out in BBK. The people there are super friendly and its really not that far. I by feed in 25# bags just cuz its easier to carry, I think the laying is $8.50 a bag. They also have oyster shell, grit and scratch. Your local ethnic markets will have good deals on BOSS and unsalted pnuts, spinach and other veggies.
Cynthia- where do you buy your feed? -Dianne

Hey Dianne!
I go to Henco in Sunland for oyster shell etc. but I've been getting Cascade organic layer mash from Azure Standard for about the last year and I love love love it (no corn, no soy).
Cheers -
Cynthia
FarmerBoy24, I am a little southeast of you. I have been in CA for 2 years, and either my driving skills have greatly deteriorated or driving takes a whole new skill set here! I don't go far from home which is why I haven't been to the Norco meetups. So I am a chicken with chickens!
3dogs ah driving in the greater LA valley is like driving in any greater metropolitan area. You just keep moving and do not fear that the other car is going to move over for you. You pretend that the road is ALL YOURS just like everyone else is pretending. Pretty soon you develop a feeling for those who ARE NOT PRETENDING but are believers that they have the road for themselves and that is when you yield.
It is really not a laughing matter, it is for real.
