CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

...

Matter of fact!

Thank you all! I appreciate all of your input and help and I hope it continues. Without you, there would be a members list and that's about all there would be. I'm hoping that that page will be a help all for our state members and a place that will hold a ton of information. Love all of you for helping with this.
X 2!!! You folks have done a fantastic job and the pressure to put something like this together for the NV thread has been increasing exponentially as the helpful info here has expanded. Hope we get something up soon. Kim is putting me to shame. lol :p
I did an online interview with the Chicken Whisperer yesterday from the Heritage Expo in Santa Rosa.

Listened for about 20 mins but realized I better tune in later to finish cause I still hadn't gotten to the interview. Gotta finish chores now and hit the sack. I've saved it so I can listen to the rest tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

There are also the Van Dams feed stores. There's one on Ave I in Lancaster and another larger one in Antelope Acres near Ave G, it's right down the road from Odyssey Ranch, you can't miss it.

Oh yes! I believe I went there to get duck feed once. Keep um comin'! I think I might start collecting more information this weekend. We'll have the most comprehensive poultry map ever.

Just finished burying one of my lavender egg layer hens. There were seeds near her in the pen. Yesterday when they were in the yard they were eatting apples. I think she may have chocked or maybe she ingested so many of those seeds, they killed her.

Oh my goodness! Did you do this for us or is this something you had done for yourself?

Oh! I just started doing it yesterday when you asked. XD I didn't get very far because I was a bit tired from school, but I think I can probably get most of the rest up today.

And so sorry about your chicken. :( It's never fun to walk out and find a dead bird.
