Kim, I'm so sorry! When you get a chance to take a breath, I'd contact the seller. I know how it feels with that dang black cloud. I insisted mine leave after our town half burning down in June and July of 08, a car accident on 6/2/08 that has left me in need of surgery on my back and shoulder, my 40 year old brother dying of cancer on 7/11/08 (his name was Bill, I thought about your Bill dying on the 12th when the anniversary come around this year), my businesses suffering in this economy, and I have decided that I'm refusing the black cloud and I'm going to get my lucky self back! Maybe we can do it together!

Oh, and get some L-Lysine from the pharmacy (over the counter). The first sign of a mouth sore or cold sore have her take one. It's stops it in its tracks! My cousin is a Chiropractor and he told me about it. Works really good and you can take just one.

I'm sorry about your brother. Cancer sucks.

Yeah cancer has hit a lot of people in my family. I lost one of my sisters in 6/11/06 to breast cancer. She had no insurance and since the first time she had it she was so young when she found the lump, they told her she couldn't be tested until she was 40. She was 38. She got help and beat it and also had a masectomy and then at 41 she got it again, in the same area. It took over her neck arm and brain within 2 weeks. She had 4 kids she left behind. My mom's sister had lung cancer and after teatments and traveling to all types of cancer centers they decided to remove the lung. Thing is they removed the wrong one. She died in 2008. My mom and dad didn't have cancer, but my mom died 4/22/2010. On the way home from her memorial I had told my husband I wanted to go to Oklahoma and visit my dad. We were half way through the Altamont pass and I got a call from my dad's sister that he was in the hospital. He died on 5/1/2010. The Bill on July 12th, so last year destroyed more of the few brain cells I had left. Then my youngest sister had a lump removed right after Bill died and I was a vegetable and wasn't even there for her.

I'm glad I was home last night to get Kayla to the hospital, but I was supposed to go to a BBQ and to play pool. I haven't played in years. I didn't even go tot storage to pick up the sticks. Finally talked myself into going then didn't. I haven't done anything like that since Bill died, so I start panicing.

I'M BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taylor! You finally went to see Karen! I love it at her house. I can just stand and look at they trees and birds all day. She has just what I've always wanted there. So the coop looked good so far? I think it will work. I'd like to have like 10 more of those. Not huge, but big enough and hopefully I'll be able to do something cute on the outsides.

Kim, yes, went there this morning. So much great stuff to take in at once. I love old houses, the gardens were amazing, and the chickens were the the largest collection that I have seen. So much quality stuff in one place! She stoped by my little place yesterday. I do like those little coops that you are building as I to have limited space that I can use and want some of everything. Next time you go out there you will have to stop by here, we are not to far away. My little tour wont take to long, not near so much to see.

Kim, no worries! You are anything BUT boring! When we first met you and Bill we felt right at ease then when Steve and I met you at that restaurant that time we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I know how super tough it was for you then!!! That was not that long after Bill passed away and we so enjoyed all your great stories about him and your experiences. Boring? No, that's one thing you can't ever say! You are never, ever boring!!!

The next time we get together we are gonna have to set some time aside so we can shoot the breeze some more. The last time was way too dashed! I sure enjoyed meeting Kayla and Dakota though.

Didn't know you liked to shoot pool! I love it! Used to shoot amateur tournament when I was young. Never came in first except in doubles and that's cause my partner was a killer pool player but I came in to money a few times. Meaning I took 2nd or third place. Surprisingly I stink now! But I only get to play once every few years or so and pool is like most things, use it or lose it.

YES! We'll have to play! I'm sooo rusty. Haven't played in ages. I thought darts was boring until I started playing those, but I'm gonna brag. People used to hunt me down to try anf beat me. My hands and shoulders are so bad now I doubt I could even throw them.

I've got spray bottles to start using the Oxine tomorrow. Wish I could have bought more than one gallon of this stuff and really hope it helps around here.

Posting to let you all know I started the Breeder's section in the first post. If you'd like to have me add your information, please post it so I can just copy and paste it. Use th smae format please.

Also is there anything coming up that I need to add? Shows, meetings, just family outtings or whatever?

Where is this??? Sounds wonderful.

Kim, I'm trying to breed Silver Gray Dorkings & Delawares. I need to improve and build up my flock before selling birds.

I was reading something about what happens to chickens when you bring them to a new home. Even if they are healthy and your birds are healthy, the "bugs n things" that they have been exposed to, and are resistant against, are different in their prior home. When they first come to a new place, they are bombarded with all kinds of new things that they aren't resistant to...like fighting a war. Hopefully, they survive and become stronger. Sometimes they aren't strong enough.
I'm sure that you already know this, but I was thinking that may be what happened to your little guy. I'm sorry.

Kim

I just read on Facebook that the Tour de Cluck: A Bicycle Chicken Coop Crawl in Davis is going to be held on May 26, 2012. I really want to go to this! It looks like so much fun!

Check out their website for pics, etc of the 2011 event:

The tickets sell out early. If you are on Facebook, click the link to find them on Facebook and you will get updates as they progress with the planning of the event. I don't want to miss out on it this year! :)
