Ha ha! I tried to step away! DH won't let me. He says it's his turn to pick out some breeds for himself. It's all Aubrey, Mark and Pam's fault. They kept talking about how sweet and funny and cute they were. Aubrey even gave us a bunch of Polish eggs to eat. Now DH realizes how easy it is to just double them up for breakfast. He even swears they are easier to work with cause the smaller eggs don't slip out of our hands. They aren't even here yet and he's sounding a little obsessed!

YEAH! GO STEVE!!!! Those little Polish chickies are so cool. I'd have had them again, but hard to get hold of since I sold all of mine. Bling was my only Polish, but he was BL and he'd been around for a long time. Just lost him a month or two ago. I hate when they get old!

Stupid roosters! I'm just feeling like I can fall asleep and they start crowing. I don't need anymore roos! Figured since I was checking birds I'd check the brooders and my little wheaten that's been off and on again weak, died and then I went and checked the older chicks and one of them died!

Then I went to add more water to that brooder and when I was putting inside I hit the edge of the brooder and the bottom came off of the waterer, so I just threw a buch of shavings in to make it dry so the others would be dry. Only 4am and already my day is starting out bad. At least all the other birds look fine and healthy. Weird that the older chick died though. They're all nice and toasty and still had plenty of feed. The waterer was almos empty, but still had water. I think it was the one that they pecked on when I first put it in there. But I but several in there at the same time.

OMG! I shouldn't have even gone out there. Now my roos won't shut up. They're answering eachother from all over the yard. And 2 are right under my bedroom window and my daughter and twp of the grand daughters are in there trying to sleep. Good grief!

Yep it's time to move out here to Nevada and get a few acres! Well I guess you could also get rid of a few roos.

OK I just ordered these Polish yesterday and today I get a call saying they are shipping today!!! How does that happen? I mean are they hatching chicks constantly and just hoping someone orders that variety? I never heard of shipping chicks in mid winter! They are supposed to be here on Friday. I hope they make it OK!

Wow! I've waited month before for chicks.

It's good to see you back!

Murray McMurray starts the hatching season now. I am splitting an order with Capay Kim that ships next week. She is getting Silver dorkings and I am getting Silver Dorkings and Partridge Rocks. Last year I bought a five pack from Cackle that came the first week of February from Missouri--there was a heat pack in the box and all five were fine.

Lets hope they all make it!

Figure I'd post about my day yesterday. Chapter?????

You'd think after the last 2 times over like the past 3 months that they'd figure out I have no money, but I got a text from B of A saying there was another hold on my card for possible fruadulent use. Someone made a purchase online for specialty car parts! Bad enough I can barely leave enough in there to keep the account open. But this is the 3rd time in as many months that they get my new numbers.

I went to Makayla's school to pick her up. Was going to come home and jump in the shower and than run to the bank and grocery store.

I made it to the school. That was it. Been raining here and was just starting to sprinkle so I got her umbrella out of the trunk. I still had a few minutes so I wasn't even in a hurry. I got to the covered area where the first classroom was and that wet slick sidewalk caused me to slip. I hit a post and then my hand when straight down on the edge of a trash can, the can flipped and rolled, so couldn't get my footing. Went down wrong on my hand and landed with it turned over and my shoulder and head into the cement. I know. Graceful right? What if this had been a kid?

Didn't get home from the hospital till just a couple of minutes to midnight. I really snapped this thing. Now I need to go to a Ortho surgeon in about a week for more xrays to see if it is alright to leave it as is and cast or do surgery. They positioned it as good as they could for now.

Trying to figure out how to water and feed animals and do dishes and get washed clothes to the laundromat. aaarrggg

As I was leaving the house yesterday I was saying I was going to be positive and work at making things better this year. Never fails, I swear!
