CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

Well as usual when I do something it isn't simple. Add that to the fact that the ER dr set my wrist wrong (horribly wrong!) and of course now I have to put a plate in. When the ortho dr saw the xray, he asked if they told me I'd need surgery and I told them they said I could possibly, but they did a pretty good job. The ortho dr shook his head and called another in and I had to tell him what they said and he looked shocked.

The way my wrist is set, I'd never be able to rotate my wrist, the pain will stay and it would be a deformity. It's hurt so bad since I broke it, I was thinking it was just me being a cry baby, but now I know why it hurts so bad.

My husband had just had his wrist removed when I met him. I know how hard it was to do things and how frustrated he was with it. He still worked in the OR, but he said he had to learn ways to do what he needed to without screwing up.

So they say I need surgery and ask "What kind of funds do you have?"

Explained waiting for the VA and they looked at me like I had 2 heads and asked again. They told me to go to another hospital, take my xrays and tell them I was in excussiating (sp) pain and needed my wrist fix. He said since it's been over 2 weeks I need to get this done in the next day or two or it will be too late.

The dr I saw reminds me of a surgeon that Bill used to assist. Very matter of fact and blunt. So, no eating or drinking after 8pm and into the hospital in the morning.

Only positive thing that happened today, I went back to the VA Service office and no one could get through to ChampVA to get my insurance straight, but my husband's rep had them on the phone in 5 minutes and Dakotah and I will be getting our cards in 5 to 10 days! Finally. You'd never believe how many times and how many hours my daughter and I have been trying to even get a human on the phone. They had Dakotah's first and last name reversed, so that's fixed and I can get him a very long awaited checkup.

Still have to figure out how I'm going to get there and back, but going in around 6am.

I'm worried about my animals. I couldn't function the day after I fell . Now surgery? I'm stressing.

OH NO KIM!!! Jeez I wish we live closer!!! Are the older kids going to help out with the animals? Teenagers can't be trusted to keep animals watered and fed, the older kids will have to check them daily! Oh you poor thing! No wonder it hurt so bad!

Dakotah is out in the Bay with his dad, can't find my daughter (Kayla's mom) and my SIL has surgery in the morning too. Starting to worry a little.

These are for you Sunny. The day I broke it. You can see how the bone from my arm is under my hand Ans the splint. Hard to get a decent pick of it.

Now the bone you see in the bottom is next to my thumb. Yeah they did a great job.

Awwww man!!! Now I have to be nice too? You're no fun at all Karen. JK!!! You know we all love ya!

Jeez this is terrible!!! OK, really, you need to move up here! We don't get that much snow! The big deal is the snow on the pass that prevents us from getting over the hill during winter. You need a support network close by. I mean like in your own neighborhood! This really stinks!

You need to sue these docs that messed up your hand and arm so badly!

Haven't made it to the hospital yet.

My phone wasn't ringing and no one could get hold of me. So everyone is either at work or out of town. My daughter's bus doesn't leave till 2pm, so not sure when she'll get here. Phone didn't ring but I got a voicemail from my SIL. Poor guy has to talk through wires. He's on his way to outpatient surgery to hopefully have the wires removed. Then he's going to pick me and Kayla up and get me to the hospital and take Kayla with him to another appointment, then to pick up my grand baby and get them to my daughter's about the time the older kids get there to watch them.

There's way to much drama in my life!

When I'm able I think I'm going to take a road trip to see where I want to live. Bad part is buying is probaby out for good, cause I already have doctor and hospital bill stacking u just from this. I swear nothing ever goes right for me. What a pain.
