Does anyone feed their ducks something specific to make them lay eggs? Mine are at 6 months now and the males been going crazy. I can't figure why neither has laid an egg yet....

I am trying to get better pictures of my ducks, and practicing attachments. Plus I love being out with my ducks.

My breeder friend says he feeds Scratch mixed with Layer pellets. Mine are getting frisky too. If they are breeding, should they be laying eggs?

You have some great looking birds. Wish we didn't have all the restrictions that we do here. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford to enclose my entire back yard

I hope not cause my male is going crazy and has been for several weeks now and still no eggs.

Could be the weather? Or change in daylight hours? I know they lay more when the days are longer.

Could be, figured since I'm in Florida that they'd be confused and still lay, ha.

That's why my savings is down to almost nothing now. The aviary netting is pretty cheep on amazon now. I had to have it, We are out-numbed by Hawks, owls, coyotes, bobcats, weasels and raccoons! Although watching the hawks bounce off is pretty fun!

I know what you mean. I'm still building my enclosures plus getting more ducklings/hatching eggs in the spring.
