Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Awww. How sad. Hate it when things like that happen. Hope all the rest make it out safely. I have a couple of mille cochin that I got from Lori going into lock down tonight and then 5 more of the mille duccles that I got from Vera that will be joining them in lockdown on Thursday. Next Monday I have my first 2 call eggs going into lock down and then about 17 seramas next Thursday. The following week I have about 4 dozen cochins, silkies, polish, silver penciled wyandottes and another call egg going into lock down. I'm still collecting call eggs and polish eggs this week to go into the incubator this weekend. Going to be crazy around here for next few weeks lol.

Congrats on your calls starting to lay. YAY!!! My buff girl is doing all the work herself right now lol. Wish my other girls would get their butts in gear lol. All in their own time though I guess

I'm going out to Harmony on Friday afternoon so will call your friend back to see if she wants me to bring the calls with me.

I know me too it was fully absorbed too so Im pretty sure it just nicked a vein.

I have 8 Anconas from the 14 growing, not due until the end of the month. I am bidding on 15+ call eggs on eBay hoping I win those.

I didn't get the Cochins today, going to try grabbing some from her later this week.

Vera is bidding on blue Breda fowl eggs on eBay, if she wins she's giving them to me to incubate for her.

Plus ill put my call eggs in in a couple days. If they keep laying 2 a day then I'll ship some to different people on here, I'm calling NPIP so I can get certified and start posting on eBay.

I don't care for the Breda but the blue chickens are usually very pretty. Wish you luck on the calls auction and Vera on the Breda. Hoping to do some egg trading this spring/fall to get some new bloodlines in the mix.

Yes I am going to have around 40-50 Anconas here soon. That will get thinned out later this year when I can determine which ones I am going to keep for breeders. I have a couple people wanting some when I'm ready to sell.

Oh yes definitely up for swapping!!! I don't want to hatch out too many of my own. It's got me worried that I won't be able to find homes for them (since people have to have a game farm license).

I will most definitely we willing to trade with you. Hoping I can get some eggs from the lady with the magpie calls so they will be ready to lay by end of year.

I know!! Did you hear about her sick chicks? Can't believe that. She's had such bad luck lately. I told her if she wanted to bring more eggs I would hatch more for her. I just feel so bad so it's the least I can do!

Yeah. Between that and her incubator problems she's not been having the best of luck at all. That's why I said she could use the good news. It unfortunately happens sometimes though but doesn't make it any less heartbreaking!!!

Yup very true. My call ducks didn't give me any eggs today. I think at least one that was laying was my blue fawn. She gave me dirty looks this morning. Also built a nest in a different area. I think she's mad I took her eggs, ha.

I don't know who is mating her. The blue fawn drake and snowy drake are fighting over her. No idea why, there's another hen in there too.

Awsome! It is best to let the hens hatch the mandarin eggs. Although you can take 1 clutch, and they should lay another. I will find out. But a trade for magpie would be awsome. I sent peach some eggs with much care, if they make it ok it might be ok to send eggs.
