Any of you guys gunna hatch calls for the Easter hatch?
not true. ducks will not help their eggs hatch. so they very well may have issues hatching. just keep a close eye on them. check the eggs daily despite the protests of the hens. just do not upset them enough to break them from the nest, if the eggs have not hatched in reasonable time then they need moved into an incubator
I was not saying that ducks will help their eggs hatch. Just saying that they are more successful at it then we are (meaning higher hatch rates). There a lot of variables involved, not just their tiny beaks and short necks.
I was referring to this,lol? I thought the small beaks is what hinders them in artificial incubation; that wouldn't change if a broody incubates them, right?
