Call Ducks Finally Hatched

400

Hi Lori!!!

I have two new duckies this morning! I safe holed the rest. If I get a spotted one, I will ship it to you at 2 weeks. I can ship a chick in too for company.  I will post pictures tomarrow when everyone is fluffed out. They mostly look like drowned rats with bills right.

Also I read that turkey food has the correct amount of niacin for ducklings. Also game bird and broiler feed.

After this post I will post pictures of little duck and special. They are getting their feathers, and their colors look unusual to me.

Turkey pellets do too but they usually have too much protein for ducklings.

the feed in the link is 22% protein...is that to much?

22% is a little high for ducks. I haven't done any real specific research on either but when I was researching feeds in general most seemed to recommend the Nutrena All Flock that's 18%. I don't know if either contains Niacin. Check the bag for the list of ingredients. If it's not there you could always call them.

i read the tag on the nutrena chick starter thats 18% and the all flock pellets that are 18% and both list niacin supplement in the ingredients...does that mean extra niacin in the water isn't needed?

the all flock tag also actually says for layers, broilers, ducks, geese, and pheasants over seven weeks of age.
