She is sooo well hidden, it was really hard to find her, I think she'll be OK. I had my Chocolate Mommy duck, go out into the woods, I could NEVER find where she was sitting but she was gone for the longest time and I thought for sure a preditor got her until she came wobbling home with 7 baby ducks right behind her. The craziest and funniest thing and she was deep in the woods. This girl she's at least in the yard right next to the coop not far at all. When our guinea decided to set (off the side yard way in some bushes) last year we put a free standing pen around her with food and water in it. Protected her from predators. Is that a possibility?
I'd hate to see her get eaten or even have a skunk come clear out her nest![]()
In fact you can see there dog house in the group picture, right there is where the coop is to the right a little bit. YEH, we gave them a dog house but do they use it OH NO, we have to be difficult and more challenged and use the TALL GRASS. GRRRRRR.. It's a nice comfy home too, they would be protected from the rain and cold, but NO they want to be difficult and lay else where. Just as bad as the chickens. The chickens will lay eggs EVERYWHERE but in the 9 nesting boxes that I have made for them. It's like Easter egg hunting everyday at my house..
