OMG. HE IS SOO CUTE, what am I talking about. LOL This: He hatched out yesterday, this is one of Tammy's babies. I'm IN LOVE, I asked my husband for a divorce, now that my true love is here. He is a LONER.. He's brother/sister did not make, never internally pipped and was not fully absorbed..

We made it through the night. It always makes me so nervous! I was especially nervous last night because one of my little guys keep trying to dive in the water.

Finally I woke up to 4 pips this morning! I have 10 in lockdown that were due yesterday. I was going to candle this morning but now I have pips! I did see a few other eggs wiggling so maybe I'll have a good rate this time. These are some of the eggs I picked up about an hour away for FREE so no shipping issues on these. They are also the first mixed color ones I've incubated so I'm super excited to see what comes out! Now back to staring at the bator.....

I'm with you, that's all I have been doing, I have Three Brahams and Four more call ducks to go and I have done NOTHING but STARE. Grrr. why cant they just come out faster. LOL

I found the answer to the sticky chick problem! You were so close Lori! On the day of lockdown, I made a small hole by the sticky area, used a steryl syringe to remove as much goo as possible. Put steryl gause over that. It piped, zipped, and out came the coolest chick! Healthy as can be. It looks like a black bibbed, but also has a white band around it's entire neck.
