Call Ducks Finally Hatched

When it comes to call ducklings, it's best not to ship them as day olds. They are TINY compared to other ducks and much much more sensitive. Personally, I don't ship if it's below 35 degrees in either location. I ALWAYS ship express, but make sure that I send enough in one box for them to stay warm as a group. 2-3 is NOT enough in my opinion. I send at least 8 in cooler weather, 6 in hot.
With call ducklings, I grow them out until they are 3/4 feathered and then ship them. That way they are much less sensitive and they can keep themselves warm if needed (again, if it's not below 35*). I send mine with grogel, chopped cucumbers, chopped watermelon or a combination. Its the lack of hydration that can make them weak so if they are only in transit for 1-2 days TOPS then that's all they need.

Still growing. Today was lockdown. 16 out of 20 eggs look to be doing fine and should hatch. I think I am just going to put a breathing hole on day 27 of incubation for our little sideways duck just in case. What do you think?
Does that bring him one day last the due date, if so then yes, candle him first make sure he's still moving around..

Poor little backwards babies...oh, I can't take the suspense! I hope they make it!

I see some posts got removed which is probably a good thing. So let's all get back to business and hatch out some kids.

Has a safe hole been made on the side kicker??
