Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hi! Sorry to just jump in on the thread but I just put 2 dozen call duck eggs in the bator and was hoping to get any advice to hatching these babies. I have hatched several batches of chickens but never ducks so I'm nervous! I really want these babies to GROW
Has anyone replied to this yet?

The one that pipped last night isn't moving...I'm majorly freaking out! I have an external pip on the second, and nothing yet in the third. What should I do? Should I try to peel off some of the shell and see if it's still alive?

Edit: Nevermind...I examined it a bit more and it felt cooler than the others...I peeled back the shell and he's gone. I don't know why...just pipped and then gave up...
OH BOY, sounds like one of Clousert babies, Had the same thing happen to me....

What should I do about the living egg? It hasn't made any progress in about 12 hours. It's still peeping and moving, but not as vigorously. How much longer should I wait before trying to peel away a bit of the shell?

I haven't done any Call eggs yet, but with all other eggs I don't mess with them untill at least 24 hours have passed since their external pip.

I am not putting any water in now. Maybe the others will dry out. They are not due for another 2 weeks. One sticker due Wed. I am afraid to even mess with it. I will try draining some of the junk out of it tomorrow.
Diane I have a suggestion if you want it

Honey, he's gone. I'm sorry... And yes, his bill is tiny, but it was enough to internally pip, and it was right in the correct position. I don't think you want to see him, it's awfully upsetting. He just looks peaceful and still, but it's very very sad nonetheless.

I'm kind of amazed that the other call was able to pip all by itself, the hole hasn't gotten any bigger but I know it takes a lot of hard work for such a teeny baby! Hopefully, he makes it. And double-hopefully the third egg is just wanting to sleep in a little bit before making its big entrance.
Do you have any more internally pipping?
