Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Yes, it was in the right position. As I mentioned there was no crust or foam around the mouth or nares so I really don't think it drowned, but it was just so peculiar. It almost looked like a tiny pelican, the way its lower jaw membrane was distended. But again, I have no idea if that's just strange phenomenon resulting from decomposition. It was in there all night so it could have already been dead for hours when I checked on it this morning. Poor lil' guy...

Still no change in the quiet egg, but egg #2 is going crazy trying to crack that egg!
Is he internally pipping?

I'm going out of my mind over this remaining duckling... It's still wiggling and pecking, but the hole isn't getting any bigger. How's this for cute, though: every time it peeps, Wobbles goes into Telescope Mode, standing on his tippy toes with his head straight up, lol!
Show me him...

Okay, it's been about 12 hours since egg #2 pipped...yes, I've been awake for that long. Should I try to chip away a tiny part of the shell above the air cell once I can no longer see veins in there anywhere? I haven't candled them since this morning when I confirmed that egg #1 had passed away, and the veins were for sure getting lighter, but were still present as of 9:00 this morning. Guh, the hardest part about hatching call duck eggs is knowing when, or if, you need to intervene!
Does he have a safe HOLE>

Does he keep his eyes open? Does he peep?

-Kathy
He's very sleepy, He can stand but lay's right back down Immediately, He drinks but when he does, he makes bubbles and wheezing sounds, If I don't give him anything, the wheezing goes away. Seems like the legs are weak, Can only stand for just a moment. He can skoot around, I have not seen him eat, He has pooped and pea very well, even does the tail wiggling thing. I don't know what to do for him. He can and is more stabled at holding his head up but doesn't hold his body up.

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE......
