Call Ducks Finally Hatched

if she sends me more Magpies I will have to DIE. Right now I'm having a major humidity issue, I just can't get it low, I've tried a dehumitifier, I've tried baken soda, Just stays at 40??? Chickens are doing great but my duck eggs are getting STICKY and or WET, I'm going absolutely CRAZY right now.

I've lost all the eggs I got from Diane, but I have my own batch in there that are due in 1 1/2 weeks and I'm Stressing HARD CORE, I lost two yesterday very very sticky. I don't know what to do. GRRRRR
Maybe it has something to do with the year. I have had 1-2 super sticky babies in EVERY SINGLE batch so far this year. Anconas, calls, muscovy, etc. And I can't figure out what's causing it

has to be, well with mine, I tested my room humidity its at 70? bator at 40 so I'm pretty sure that's my problem, I'm wondering if at this time of year they need misting to help evaporate the moisture. I think I will try misting them once a day.

I"M GOING ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. I now have TWO fans in my bator and the Humidity is STILL not going down, it's at 41%? GRRRRR NO water what so every, I'm going to candle tonight, I thing I may have a leaker or something, where else could all this water be coming from??

What's the humidity in the room?

No the bator doesn't matter, I could have a thousand of them, it's the conditions and trying to figure out what works. I did a test on my room, 73% humidity just in my room, No wonder the bator is reading 40%.

I thinking I have to start misting them, perhaps that will help evaporate some of the moisture, However, I already know it's going to cause the chicken eggs to get sticky. So much more easier to hatch in the winter then the summer. Sounds strange I know but when humidity goes up around us, things change in the bator..

The last one I tried so hard to save, OMG, he was PURE white with a NICE Black spot on his head. THE CUTEST LITTLE THING I ever saw. LOL

Can't say Enough about Diane, she's been helping me, and with what she's done so far OMG, I'M SOOO THANKFUL.... HANDS UP TO HER. WOOO HOOOOOOOOO, She really deserves an award for all her hard work..
That is so complicated to me but it sounds like you know exactly what you are doing. So then are there just factors out of your control that happen anyway? I am sorry you lost the pure white with the spot on his head. I am glad you have Diane to help you. It is incredible the knowledge and experience and support on this site.
