Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Dead ducklings in the shell, fully formed, don't know why?

Eggtopsy'd the others, they had apparently died a few days ago. 4 ducklings hatched out of 16 eggs. Think I'll get a Brinsea incubator and get rid of the Little Giant type.

Wow, I must have just been lucky to have hatched 4 ducklings out of 4 eggs! Yes, a stable incubator will serve you well!

Congratulations on the 4 lovely ducklings! Post pictures of them, please!:D

So, my one Call egg from Cali is due to hatch tomorrow. I just candled and I have a bad feeling it is breech. It appears the entire membrane is being pushed up on like its the bum, not just one place like its the beak. What do I do? I really want this baby to make it

Could it be it's back pushing it up as it's turning to get into position? I've been noticing that mine tend to push the membrane upwith their back right before they get their bill out from under the wing and internally pip...

Maybe so. In my last hatch I had two that didn't make it though, due to them being breech, and I want to say when I candled them I was seeing this same notion. I want to make an external safe hole tomorrow as well as an internal safe hole (which I have never actually done) if there's no progress around noon, I just have no idea how to go about that with a breech baby. I really hope my little one isn't breech.

Dang... well, sorry idk... I've never had good luck with a safe hole before an internal pip or pipping internal for them... I know many have done it, but it just never works for me... hope someone else can help you... good luck I hope she makes it!
