Call Ducks Finally Hatched

LOL< funny that you ask because my friend has a cake that she needs to deliver in PA, I have to find out exactly where but she can't deliver it because that same day she also has to be in Oh to do a wedding. So I'm trying to arrange, delivering the cake for her, if all goes as plan, after I'm done delivering the cake I might be able to swing by and pick up the Rest of those POOR POOR babies.... LOL

It won't be all of them though.. Just a Few..

In all seriousness, though, Scott says the reason we have such a hard time getting rid of them is that I grill everybody to death like they're adopting a child. I don't think I do. I just want to know they're going to a good home where they're not going to be eaten by a predator and have a diet of "I have a yard." I probably turn off some perfectly fine buyers by doing that, but so be it. We still have around 12 I'm hoping to find a good home for before cold weather sets in.

GAAAA!!! I wish I could make that symbol on here that keeps monsters away! No! I need to keep some!

OH and you can have Mr. Loner back, LOL, he's been terrible, I let my seven babies walk round outside, breaking them in so they become ducks and MR. LONER will go OUT of his way to bully the seven babies. OH YEH, mouth opened and all attacking them. MAKES ME SOO MAD..

Every since he became a DUCK and not a Duck dog, he's been acting like Billy Bad A**, He's joined up with the larger group of ducks and he's just the KING OF THE HERD. and he lets EVERYONE around know that he's in CHARGE. So your more then welcome to have him back.. LOL..

You hatched that one. Don't be trying to give your misbehaving ducks and drakes to me and slide something past me. I know how stuff like this works.

I can see your concern but if you really thinking about it and I'm not trying to be cruel or anything, But there's ONLY so much you can do to keep your pets safe from predators. I mean if they are hungry enough and there's a free meal, they will do what every it takes to get it.

My number one concern when selling is the people. OMG, can't tell you how many times I have heard "I've never eating duck before". AND YOUR NOT GOING TO HERE. Thanks for stopping by...

As well as my Silkies, I've heard: "I've never eaten a Black skinned chicken, wonder if it tastes differently then a regular one". GRRRR, SEEE YAH... Just something you don't want to hear, knowing you've raised these animals since they started in there little shells.

I have NOTHING against people that do raise chickens for there consumption but for me, it's not my intent when I sell, so when I hear things like that, it really hits home because these are my babies and as MUCH as I would love to keep all of them, sometimes the Bad guys have to go. I don't allow Cock fighting at my place and if they can't get along they must go, but as long as I don't have any fighters, they can stay. That's why I have to decide on MR. LONER, I'm hoping he's just going threw a bully faze and will stop his nonsence soon. Otherwise, I will have to make changes with him.

I find that when you over price your pet, those that will actually response or want to pay are the ones you want. Because if they are willing to pay to much for a pet, they are willing to take the best care of it. They don't want to lose that cost... Of course, I'm not talking about Tripling a price. LOL.

Something to think about, raise your price, if you get a response you can always lower back to your original cost once they arrive, because if they are willing to pay a ridiculous price they are willing to give it the best care... Just saying something worth thinking about.

Quote: Thats what i like about call ducks if you sell them to people, odds are that they wont be eaten since they are so small and have very little meat ( also they are so gosh darn cute). I will never eat one of my ducks they are apart of my life that gives me joy ( and why would anyone eat something that makes them happy). Also i dont get why people eat ducks they raise. I mean you've spent at least $100 dollars on this duck and you want to eat it for one meal

it just doesnt make sense

As for the predators i do agree that it is hard to be 100% sure that the ducks are always safe ( unless you keep them inside ) but i find that the best chance for saftey is an aviary. the ducks still get the grass, greens , sunlight , and swimming 24/7 . while they are safe and protected from predators.

@JadeComputerGal i Am considering getting a duck from you if shipping isnt a problem

Just in case something was getting under my electic fence, (the yellow wire at the bottom), the fence is now firmly concreted to the ground, 15 bags of concrete around fence perimeter, my ducks and chickens are relieved, the boogy man can't get in.
