Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Oh that's nothing. Lol. I'm trying to plan ahead right now. I have 43 bob whites and no empty pen outside for them.....they hatch next weekend, lol.

lol. You still a little time . When I got my first chicks I didnt have all the coops built but had 1 of the 4 done. As they grew in the brooder I finished another. I finished the 3rd when they were about 8 wks old. And just finished building a larger duck house/run this past weekend. Now I just have to add the extra watering system and extra pool so I'm a little ahead of the game with the duck hatchlings lol

Lol want to come by my house and build some???? I wish I had the self discipline to get a good coop built, seems like its several hundred dollars to buy a piece of junk when you could build a great one for same price!!!

There's one in NSB that is only $100 and looks decent. I'm waiting to let it sit a while so I can offer them a little less. It's definitely a buyers market out there.

That it is. I looked at several before deciding to build my own. They're not the greatest but they're pretty decent and I like them. My nieces and nephew are coming over this weekend to decorate them

No further progress on my little girlie. I made her a safe hole this morning. She's still alive in there so puts my mind at ease a little. I wont be able to check on her again for another 7 hours *sigh* Day 25 today though

Argh feeling frustrated for my friend. She ordered some Ancona eggs from the same person that I ordered from (that are due to hatch next weekend) and tomorrow is day 28 for her batch. No movement no pipping. Just asked her if they rocked at all in the past couple days....grr, is it too early for safe holes?????

Awww. Sorry to hear that. Don't know that a safe hole would do anything for them if they haven't pipped yet. Hopefully they're ok and are just resting or something.

I know she hasn't seen them rock either. She said she can still see clear veining in at least one. I'm hoping they aren't dead, she'd be so upset :/

My girlie's egg is still in the exact same place, no rocking, and I have not heard her make a sound yet. When I made her safe hole I could see her moving around in the airspace though. I hope her little ones make it too. It is very heartbreaking to lose our babies
