I am worried about my other eggs, so I have to find out what went wrong. I hope I am doing the right thing. It is OK, it is probably really late where you are.

Ugh had another egg die. Smell is awful, down to 4 out of 18 from that group of eggs. Springtime I am ordering live ducklings....lol

Of my 3 eggs on day 27 one has externally pipped and the others are popping around!!! One completely turned around, lol, I don't know that that is a good thing though. The last 4 did that and we had to help them out, cross your fingers that the other two externally pip by tomorrow!!!

Hum I wonder what's going on we're they fully developed??

How did you set them [COLOR=333333]Lacrystol[/COLOR]?  Mine came like that too. Also I think I have a quitter, but the blood ring is at the narrow end, and the veins are gone.

I set them in the bator exactly like I do for loose air cells, I put them on the turner with the turner completely off, I would shift them to the left and right to keep them from sticking to the side of the shell.. Kept them like this for five days but candled today which is day four..

Could it possibly still be alive? Should I put the rest back with the fat ends up?

I'm not sure what you are asking here, why are you worried about your other eggs, do they have loose Or DEATACHABLE air cells ?

What is the right thing you want to do open them up, meaning the bator or crack them. Give the eggs 7 days before even considering cracking them..

I can hardly wait to see all the babies that are getting ready to hatch! and [COLOR=333333]clousert, how did you keep That beautiful chick from dying from a broken heart, not having any siblings? Was it the "Hi I am a hoarder" thing? like you are hatching eggs every day? Hey that is a good idea! I can hatch allot of chicks now that I have 2 bators, as long as the lock down times don't conflict!!!! Anybody have eggs? Do mandarins lay year round in Sunny Florida? I wanted her to have siblings but none of the other eggs in her batch ever formed. She has a little beanie baby stuffed goose that she sits on and I spend time with her every day. Thankfully the eggs I got this time were better and have 16 out of 24 that are ready to hatch in the next 2 days I'm so happy that she's going to have playmates now!!! Then the breeder sent me 60 more eggs to check fertility for them because their incubator is down. Those are due the night before Thanksgiving. We're only on day 5 with those but a lot of tiny beating hearts already. A lot of ducks lay year round here but most will slow drastically or stop as it gets colder.

Ducks seem to prefer to be on their sides with the large blunt end slightly elevated.

I always open my quitters to see if there's anything I notice that could have made it die

Nope they aren't due until next Saturday. I had couple rotten to start, some with blood rings then 9 that started developing. Since then they have been dying off one by one. Talked to someone else that got eggs from the same person and same thing happened to her eggs. No clue.


Of the 3 on day 28 today two have now externally pipped. Third is internally pipped. Hope he external pips today so I don have to worry.

My 43 bobwhites go into lockdown tonight omg

Oh almost forgot! 3 of the 5 calls are growing eeek!!!!!
