Call Ducks Finally Hatched

HI Lori,
I just got home from my 2 day shift. I am thinking of ordering from the same person I got the others from. They were so beautifull. The color pattern was awsome. I worry about the mishandeling by the xxxxxxx post office though. I have been packageing chicken eggs in different ways, bounceing them off walls, then seeing the dammage.


I am thinking about springs for shock absorbtion. I am trying to find the best packing method for shipping.

Yes I am trying again. I have ducks, and had better figure how to hatch the buggers. when I perfect my shipping meathod , I can send you some eggs so you can tell me if they made it ok. I have bantam chickens laying right now. Do you like dutch, serama, or splash bantam coachins?


I am thinking about putting the eggs in a seperate box. Maby an egg carton with bubble wrap. Put insulation over that. Rig a spring system over that with shavings. Put that in a small box, also lined with wood shavings. And one last box lined withwith foam.

Hey I bought spotted calls from McMurry. They are pure white with perfectlly round small spots, mostlly on their heads. The pictures I have seen look nothing like that. Any ideas?

Anyway I am going to sleep, Ive had 2 nights without sleep.

So tell me about your hordig? I may have you all beat. 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses. 28 ducks, 10 chickens, 2 ferrets, and Dolly Llama..

I have 5 dogs, about 30 button quail (40 eggs in the bator), 31 baby bob whites, 11 ducks plus 5 eggs left to hatch!

NOPE NOPE that's not enough to be a Hoarder yet. Good lord we definetly have our work cut out for us on this one...I'm sooo glad you decided to try again. THAT's great News..As far a the post office, you really can't help it, they are idiots. the best thing is to make sure FRAGILE is on the Box, I put HATCHING EGGS on my box, However my friend just shipped me some eggs and she Put LIVE EMBROYS, so I may switch up my game and put that instead because her eggs LOOK really good. Some loose air cells but that never stopped me from hatching them. LOL...

When boxing up eggs the best thing to think about is to make sure those eggs CAN"T move around.. I've noticed that Newpaper works the best so far, the post office can beat the heck out of the box but because newspaper is soooo strong, sort of speaking, it's really hard for the eggs to get destroyed..

So I took Sassy out for the first time, OMG, she's soo cute, scared TO DEATH. she wouldn't follow me at first until she realized OMG, I better stick with this big tall woman, of course, I'm not that tall but to her I must be a Giant.

We stopped so she can go swimming and instead she runs underneath me. She's so silly..

Awww. Poor Sassy. Wait til she realizes how much fun it all is. Then it all goes downhill from there. I wish they stayed our buddies forever. They can have duck buddies too but what about us We raised them lol

I have my fingers crossed for your little ones. The babies are just beautifull.

I ordered my eggs and a didigital read out thermomiter and humidity gauge. The eggs will be delivered UPS. Hope they are a little more gentile.

I cant seem to post pictures. It says I dont have permission. I will look at the rules.

The first one is cracking the shell more. I can see the beak completely. Will help in a couple hours if I have to but I think these two will make it out on their own. The second one has externally pipped.

The closest has the dots on the head. I am starting to feel old here, I messed up the settings so I couldn't send attachments! Which reminds me of The time my best friend and I lost our sales jobs because we were dinosaurs. Then we landed jobs at Google!

They're adorable. When did you get them? Looks to be male and female but hard to tell on the one farther away. The closer one definitely looks female. How old were they when they shipped them? Thanks for the pictures.
