By the way I found 3 pairs of magpie call ducks in Byron, GA (6 hrs from me) for $45 a pair...I'm trying to come up with reasons it would be impractical to drive and get them. Lol

Mandarin Ducks.

I heard these are hard to take care of in the winter??? Boy they are pretty but goofy at the same time. LOL

The wood duck are gorgeous too but I just love the mandarins!! Looks like he's getting his practice in for the spring. Better be careful posting porn LOL

Does anyone feed their ducks something specific to make them lay eggs? Mine are at 6 months now and the males been going crazy. I can't figure why neither has laid an egg yet....

I feed mine High protein, not sure if it helps with laying or not but I know with calls they are seasonal and it's winter so I don't expect mine to lay again until Spring.

That's why my savings is down to almost nothing now. The aviary netting is pretty cheep on amazon now. I had to have it, We are out-numbed by Hawks, owls, coyotes, bobcats, weasels and raccoons! Although watching the hawks bounce off is pretty fun!

I have snowy and white calls. I know their colors now! If you mix white with snowy, the next generations will be blues and apricots. Ha!

I would love BLUEs, wait I have a butterscotch and white?? does that count??
