Still NO sassy.![]()
How's your little one doing? I was trying some experiencements and apparently they didn't work out yet. SO I will keep trying. I opened Two of my Milles, The first one I made a tiny hole and cleaned the goo. HUGE chunk of goo came out, and of course, I'm thinking OH GOOD now he can absorb. Well needless to say it died.
So I tried a second one, did Not open his air cell just sprayed him with deluted Oxine, soaked him really good thinking OK, this should clean any goo off of him. needless to say he died,
Ive discovered If air hits those veins, they turn dark almost a black, once that happens, they seem to die. So I have two more, that I have left alone, they are sticky but I can see one that is already trying to push on the membrane to internally pip..
SO, what does this mean to you girls. IT MEANS EVEN IF THEY ARE STICKY, LEAVE THEM ALONE. Give them PAST there due dates..Don't open them because once that air hits those veins it's over. let them try to internally pip, they do take LONGER, Usually my milles hatch a day early, well today is actually there due date so they are already late, I'm going to give them more time then usual as long as I don't open them, I think they will be OK. I have lowered the humidity down to about 30. I'm going to keep it low to see if they can successfully get out. I was thinking of sponging one of them just to experienment with and I think I still will.. my frame of thinking is perhaps the sponging the chicken egg, will help them clear off some of that goo, but it could also do the opposite on me and cause more goo.. HUM. HUM, let me think on which way to go.. I think I'm gonna go with sponging one since I have two left, I will not sponge the one that is pushing the membrane, I will do it to the one with less process. Will see how it goes.
So sorry again about Sassy.
My little one was doing ok when I left for work this morning around 6am. I'm hoping to be home by 6 tonight to check on her. Such a long day and I'm a nervous wreck not being able to see her. This morning she was out of the egg but still had the string attaching it to her naval. I just pray that she's ok.
I did wait until over 24 hours had passed after she had internally pipped before I opened her though. I don't ever open anyone before internally pipping.
