I think there is still hope for Sassy. Your hens have gone off before to return with ducklings. I have an enclosed aviary, but it took me a week to find one of my ducks that hid to hatch eggs. they can be sneaky little buggers.![]()
No picture because it didn't make it. It had died, I checked on it every 1 1/2 the poor thing was chirping away making progress, then all of a suddenly after the 4th time of checking him. BOOM dead. I was like WHAT!! OMG, NO WAY Absolutely NO WAY.Is there supposed to be a picture?

I have my doubts for the last two, theres a lot of air space. I can see they have gooy stuff going on. I'm going to leave them and see if they can successfully escape but I don't have my hopes up very high.. GRRRR
I don't know why I'm having such an issue lately. I have always had such good hatching rate any wheres from 95 to 100 percent. But lately it's been 2 percent to ZERO. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!
YES, YES, I NEED EGGS. ALTHOUGH I WAS READY TO GIVE UP, with all these losses, I don't know how much more I can takThank you
I am keeping one of them and selling the others. A lady in town is coming by tomorrow to see them
going to be sad to see them go!!'![]()
Yay, fingers crossed for your little one!!!
I just set 27 call duck eggs today
My calls have picked up laying!!!! Got THREE eggs today!!!!! I have an order going out Monday, and then Lori and Diane if you guys want eggs let me know!!! I'll happily send you some. My incubators are past full!!!
Yes, these are from Tammy, I don't know what happened to this little guy, Everything seems just right, I was sooooo Excited, and BOOM, kept checking on him and checking on him, OMG...No not since I replaced the fan. That was the last batch. on the temp. These are your eggs from Tammy right? Try something new. Don't touch them. Remember I had my one hatch on day 29??? Didn't you have your temp drop??? So they could just be late hatchers. Don't give up yet.
I candled that guy every night, and as long as he was still moving I left him alone. He pipped day 28 and hatched out overnight day 29.
This is just an idea.Yes, these are from Tammy, I don't know what happened to this little guy, Everything seems just right, I was sooooo Excited, and BOOM, kept checking on him and checking on him, OMG...No not since I replaced the fan. That was the last batch. on the temp.
This guy was on day 25 and I knew he was going to be early..
My other two, they are due today and I don't have a lot of hope, there's just way to much air space. Looks like a bunch of gooy stuff in there. I kept the humidity very low, I'm going to re check my gage though..
I will leave them alone as long as I can see movement but it's HARD, I can barely see it..
One more thing. I put clear packing tape over the top of each turner so the eggs won't drop into the holes. I put them in the incubator last night and it is working just as I had hoped. I have a good feeling about this new system. Seems like I won't have to worry about temperature or humidity problems.Ah I see how you did it that is a really good idea. I think I will try that out too, but going to wait until after the in laws come visit. My incubator is so full it's bursting. I'm already have severe hatching withdrawal and they won't be here until May 22!!!! Next eggs I set will be going in June! Hmmm, or I could do it like that and then I wouldn't have to worry about hand rotating everyday which means I could set more in 2 weeks!!!!! I'm liking this idea...
