Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Keep pressure on the yolk? Not a lot, lean him either upwards or against something. as he chirps it should help absorb faster..

AND get the ONION. UMMMM love the way onions smell but make SURE it's yolk and NOt a swelled up vent.
Only the chicks head and one foot is out. The yolk is still inside the shell, lightly pressed against the shell. I was able to see it after it got it's foot out. I will try to get a picture. I have to use my Kindle because I lost my phone again. Still the Onion? Wait see the picture first.

YES DEFINETLY THE onion will keep the bacteria off of it. you don't want him to get any bacteria on it.

Here is the picture, I am going to get the onion ready. He is really trying to get out now!

Ok onion in. I forgot! I also took shell off the chest area so It couldn't shrink wrap and suffocate. This one is going to live!!! darnit!!! I did that this morning after it got it's foot out. I will continue to re-wet each 2 hours. Is that right?

Thank you and happy easter to you

AND EVERYONE ELSE.  YES, TAMMY EVEN YOU ALTHOUGH WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE A LONGGGGG TALK ABOUT THIS MAGPIE THING....

I seriously don't have any magpies breeding. The only 1 I have is only 4 months old. I ran all the scenarios of the breeders I have and none of them produce magpies. So if there is magpie that pops up then it's a hidden gene that one of them has that I'm not aware of. It is more than likely a pied. I have to say though that this little one I have sure does look like a blue magpie but I'm sure he'll feather in to be a blue pied like his father.

Hopefully you'll get one too Lori from the eggs I sent you. Can always send more too and/or hatch them here and send babies :)

Krista, is that 1 from one of the white eggs?

That stinks. Fingers crossed that those 3 make it and that you get lots of development from the other 15 I sent. Can always send more of my own too if these 3 don't make it. Must have some rough handling PO personnel there in OH as neither of us is having much luck with each other's eggs lol
